Games for a Family Affair – Part Two
Games for Five to Six Year Olds
Children of this age are able to match colors, count and move board pieces independently. Losing can still be a challenge for children in this age group and it is wise to talk about the experience of winning and losing. Turn taking, social interaction and simple problem solving will enhance your child’s communication skills as well as teach him life learning skills. Here are a few games that will require good language skills, fine motor ability and cognitive flexibility.
- Don’t Make Me Laugh – $11
- Chinese Checkers – from $6
- Checkers – from $3
- Operation – $25
- Pentago – $24
- Bed Bugs Motorized Catch or Capture – $13
- Roll it Tic Tac Toe – $10
