Live From the American Speech-Language Hearing Association’s Annual Convention
The last two days at the American Speech-Language Hearing Association’s annual convention have been among the most fulfilling of my career. I arrived in beautiful San Diego on Wednesday and it’s been non-stop action since I landed. It’s inspiring to be surrounded by these dedicated professionals who continually advance our industry. Not to mention, the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and add new friends to my professional network.
Even though I’ve been busy working at my exhibit booth (#922) and sharing information about the My Baby Compass book series, I have carved out a little time to tour the exhibit floor here at the San Diego Convention Center and I have been inspired by what I’ve seen. Not only are my fellow exhibitors demonstrating exciting innovations for the field, ASHA has gone above and beyond to make the show interactive, with an onsite Community Lounge, engaging Twitter feed (I hope you’re following the hashtag #asha11), and dedicated bloggers writing at http://blog.asha.org/. I’m proud to be associated with an organization that takes its mission of empowering and supporting speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and speech, language, and hearing scientists so seriously.
If you’re reading this while attending the convention, I hope you’ll stop by and introduce yourself! Again, My Baby Compass is at booth #922.
