“As a family physician, I recommend My Baby Compass, Four to Seven Years as an essential resource which will help parents to identify their child’s strengths and weaknesses as their child progresses towards maturity. Using the checklists and activities, the parent can work more effectively with their child at home and with teachers and healthcare professionals to correct any early deficiencies. The physician may only recognize a problem when it becomes severe and late in its course. Early identification of developmental problems by the parents will encourage them to address these problems and seek help if necessary.”

-Dr. Edward Washington, M.D. –  Family Practice

“New parents find themselves busier than they would ever believe.  But new parents also want to do the very best for their new little ones.  Kathy Gruhn’s program makes ‘doing the right things’ much easier by placing checklist, activities and developmental targets within easy reach.  The pull-out checklists and activities make it a cinch to locate the correct information for your toddler’s stages.  Having the words and motions to many songs and nursery rhymes makes talking with your child easy and interesting. My Baby Compass is a must-have for busy new families.”

– Elizabeth B. Simpson, MA CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist

“Whoever said that babies don’t come with instructions? What a relief My Baby Compass is for new parents!  This developmental road map – and clinical ‘compass’ of baby development ‘how-to’s’ and ‘what-if’s’ – is a safety net.  Why has a program like this never been thought of before?  Praise Kathy Gruhn and My Baby Compass!”

“When I first read both the Birth to Two Years and the Two to Four Years books, all I could think was where where these when I needed them 5 years ago when my first child was born. They are presented in a no frills manner that anyone can understand and benefit from. The checklists included with the books allow you to see where your child is doing well and what you need to work on with them.
I can’t say enough that every new parent needs these books!”

“My Baby Compass child development program is wonderfull. At $39.95 for a two year program, it is the least expensive that I have seen. It is simple and easy to use. There are six booklets in the back of the reference guide which convientently list the skills and activities which I share with family and care givers so we can all help the child grow. The 275 skills are specific and easy to understand covering all areas including speech, hearing, understanding, movement, and social/emotional. The matching activities are fun and really help the baby develope the various skills. I record the accomplishments in the handy reference guide which I will share with my pediatrician. The reference guide is full of practical information and also has a lot of games, songs, and recomended toys. There is a whole section on sign language which I never thought of before. I strongly recomend My Baby Compass to every parent with a baby under two years of age.”

“This book is really helpful, specially for first time parents. It is really easy to read and find the information needed. The booklets are great for keeping track of your child development. I just love it!!”

“I reviewed the birth to two book, and was so pleased with this continuation of the series that I had to submit another review. I can’t recommend this series enough. I was pleasantly surprised to find the same quality in this volume of research and user-friendliness. Ms. Gruhn knows how to communicate!”

“My Baby Compass is well thought out and easy to understand. The checklists offer a quick assessment so parents can easily tell what they can be watching and listening for as their child/ren develop. The activities are full of quick and easy ideas for any parent to use, including using things you already have at home without needing to invest in a lot of expensive “educational” toys.”

“Like the first volume, this one is easy to read and follow and is a definite must have for anyone raising a child this age.”
